A Beautiful Sapphire

I take a deep breath as the cold rush of water engulfs my feet.
The warm wind sighing in my ear.
The ring of coast line colliding with the sea.
The gorgeous glisten created by the rays of the sun calm and sooth me.
As I gently walk toward peace the threat of what lies under the surface quickly passes.
As I lay on the ocean, swaying back and forth, I take a deep breath and dive.
A beautiful sapphire lies beneath the dense veil of darkness.
I reach for the sapphire.
Then open my eyes.
It was all a dream.
My nostalgia for such happiness is my only ambition to sway with the waves once more.

Congratulations on your win. The shoreline between dreams and hallucinations is so subtle and maybe only the ocean knows...
