Attributes of Love
Your smile of compassion,
The sweetness in your grin,
The kindness of your deeds that draws my heart within,
God's love shines from within you,
I can see this from afar,
You stand out in the dark night sky like a brilliant shining star,
It's the best i can describe it, with no words how much i see,
Your spirit leaps out in my presence and bounces onto me,
Your demeanor is so happy,
Your laughter is a tool,
God sees your pain and heals you at his pace, when we are broken yet beautiful,
In the midst of my own suffering, you set the example for me,
That laughter is a key to life, and God's joy can set me free.
Through trials and tribulations our souls daily have to bear,
We have to understand that through it all, God's joy must still be there.
With few words spoken day in and day out, you do not know me well,
But our spirits rise above our words, and there's not much left to tell.
When we look beyond the physical, there... lies the story of the soul,
Sometimes weakened fragile hearts that God's strength will surely mold.
In the moments of our heartache, the Lord teaches us something new,
He builds us up and strengthens us so we can follow through.
God looks behind our flaws, and holds our hearts so dear,
And picks us apart to fix us, and slowly wipes away our tears.
He knows the fears we hide, he sees the masquerade,
He knows our true intentions, and has heard the prayers we've prayed,
Sometimes prayers aren't answered right away, and we think God takes to long,
But he perfects us over time, and shows us there's an ending to each song.
He wants us never to leave him or ever just walk away,
your life will turn over time if you just sit still and pray.
I'de like to say one more special thing,
I hope you understand,
That i can only give you the Lord's encouragement as his faithful servant
and helping hand,
I understand God puts people in our midst sometimes, only for a season,
To search for the love within ourselves, God always has his reasons.
Your special to him, i know this well, for he put you in my heart to pray,
I don't need to why, I trust in his love to give me just the right words to say.
It is my prayer that you keep him close to your heart, because he loves you so,
And that you spend precious time with him everyday and you never let him go.
As you journey through your life, he'll meet your every need,
and sent you angels in disguise,
And give you the gift of courage and strength, and to see love through God's eyes.
