A Feeling Still Here

What is this
feeling
This part of my
heart
That is scratched and
bruised
Though, it still beats
strong
It hides in a corner
of my heart
Making me hurt
all the time

I think I have figured out
what this is
It makes me happy
always
When I'm around
you
But when you leave
I want to cry
And sometimes
I do

Please, don't
apologize
You did nothing wrong
you never did
It's my
mistake
My heart still loves
you
Even though
you don't

I'll put it in a
box
Somewhere in the depths
of my heart
Where I can only
find it
And can only be
opened by
you and your
key

You don't have to
open it
It will
fade
one of these
days,
and leave an
empty space
But for now
I love you
