Looking Within Myself

looking within myself

I open my eyes was I in a dream?
Am I going to be wild and free?
I myself have lost my mind of dreaming within.
I wanna be southern cant you see?
The door is open and this is my chance.
Face it head on or go all in?
I am simply masking my pretend?
These scars don't define me or who I am.
Some days id like to say lets be who we are.
But my mother tries to define who I am.
But mom this is not where I stand.
Let me be who I am.
Don't joke around I wanna be who I am now.
These tunes don't define you either.
Why don't you just go find each other?
Maybe one day you'll see who you are and you'll be.
You may not be complete, but you'll have me.
Ill be standing here by your side.
Do you see me or feel me?
I'm inside ya moving around.
Smiling right at ya.
I see the bright light shining outside you.
Here I come mom ready to make my appearance.
Being delivered and falling out.
These warm hands and a unfamiliar face.
