Would You Wonder

As I write this only for you
You wouldn't know it was for you

These words those I write
I'll share with all
Let it hide in plain sight
For all to see yet only you
Would you wonder I wonder
if this was for you

When I say I remember
The very first time
I made you smile
All with just
something I said
Something irrelevant

All the time spent with you
Back then I can't forget them
Little as they may be

I long to see a time far away
When I would sit across from you
At a table for two
Talk to you with words
I've only dreamt

The first time I fell for you
Was the first time I ever saw you
Then back when I didn't even know you
There wasn't a second I ever fell out

The one I wish
to maybe just know
Just as a friend or perhaps more
Maybe not I don't know
Love is fickle and I am worse
I shiver I stutter

Now as I look back
To the conversations
we never had
But I wish we did
I wonder if you wonder
What I would've said to you
In a conversation we never had
Those ones where I wished
I could find you

I'm still writing
Its because of you
And for you
Do you know in this moment
So fleeting I'm writing this
For you?
