How Was My Day

How was my day? Oh, please dare you ask.
For re-telling this day seems such a task.
I was given materials prepared in such haste.
I was given machinery
But in much worse shape.
The job and the time were set out before me
But still, oh still, I found myself wanting.
I asked for more help. There was given none
And before you would know it
the work was all done.
Those above me must thought it a bore.
Day in and day out I kept asking for more.
More money, more time,
More love and less crime.
Equipment that works, machinery that runs,
And other such nonsense I've barely begun.
So why do you linger and muse with my plea?
What with this burden set before me?
I want it all now and served on a plate!
And hurry, pray hurry. Oh do not be late.

I will not ask you how your day was! I promise. I understand that a lot can be improved in your work situation. But, on the bright side, you wrote a great rhyming poem about it and I enjoyed that very much. Welcome to PoetrySoup :)
