Tired of Looking

Tired of Looking
I’m tired of looking
Searching for someone
To share my life with
Tired of all the rejections
And all of the excuses
Tired of hearing
There is someone out there for you
Platitudes are all well and good
But in the end they are just empty words
Nothing to cling to
No one to wipe the tears away
When my heart is shattered
Into so many pieces it can never be repaired
No one to hold when I’m alone
No one to say the words I long to hear
No one to say I love you
Unconditionally and for ever
I’m tired
