The Gift of Love

I was given the gift of love one day by the dear Lord who walked my way,one moment in time and with a touch of his had i did receive his gift of love so grand, and within a wink of an eye i was raised from the gutter to the sky, from a pauper to a king only now my heart could sing, and now i did seek to try and find the true value of this gift devine, and with all my searching and wisdom i do have to say that his gift of love had no value at all untill i gave it away.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

It is true, love only has value when you give it to others. Welcome to PoetrySoup :)
