Listen To My Soul

Be quiet for me
listen to the silence for me
the silence that consumes our lives
listen and hear no words of joy
listen to my soul

listen and hear the scream of my pain
listen and hear my never ending torture
here me trying to break free of this eternal loneliness
hear my soul

all that i have
is a deep longing for a gesture of warmth and love
the absence is an endless torture
my heart is slowly drowning
suffocating me in my own tears as they fall like thunder
my soul screams for saviour

but now you hear me
now you see me
you've unearthed whats beneath me
you witness the pain
you witness the sorrow
you see the cries of my soul
but do you hear them?

i do not plead for your help
i do not use words
and because of their absence
you leave
and I'm left
here alone
trying to catch a glimmer of prosperity
waiting for someone
waiting for that one
the one who can save me
save me from myself
they'll be able to hear
they'll listen with more than just their ears
