I Miss You

You said you wanted to move
and then you saw the door
so you went to pack your bags
until there was no more

and then you ran out the door
you thought it would all end
but then you finally noticed
that you could run to your friends

at your friends all you did
was cry and pant
and then you realized
that you could call your aunt

as your aunt came to get you
you ran out the door
and you yelled out thank-you
to our good Lord

on the way to her house
you told her someone hit you
even though it was a lie
you somehow made her believe you

i wasn't home at the time
so i didn't get to say bye
and now all i can do
is sit here as i cry

why'd you have to leave
knowing it would hurt me
why couldn't you forget it
and then here you'd still be

i miss you
now that you're gone
and until you come home
my life cannot move on
