The Sorrow

Although it seems that, you no longer care
I’ll never forget that you were there
You played your part and I played mine
But in the end it just wasn't our time
You touched my heart
When you wanted to start
You called my name
Then you played this game
With everything lost and nothing to gain
You just left me there, lying in the rain
You broke our love that was so great
And now things just turn to hate
You left with no shame and no regrets
After the months we've met
Your presence united my soul with yours
And now you've closed your door once more
You once said, “you love me and you really care"
But now I see those feelings weren't even there
We’ve looked eye to eye
And still I couldn't see those lies
Because every time you said "Hi"
You really just meant to say "Good Bye"
You said we'd be forever
And that this time it'd be better
The word forever is such a lie
The right word is that you will try
Because now the word forever just makes me want to cry
And making me want to go and die
Killing me slowly deep down inside
Leading to my demise

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
