It Is What It Is

Restless tonight
         take this pen and write;
                  if I could explain it all
                  if I could use all the words...
I'd promise to make sense and shed some light.

I want to know it all
         take a step back or maybe not;
                   wish I could
                   wish I would...
I'd replay memories flooding my vision, trade-in the bad, and fly.
They hurt, they toss, and they turn;
                                                              around I go nothing is clear anymore.
No explanation, no wrong, and no right.
  Simply put
                      It is what it is.
