My God

The way I came to you was difficult.
I was searching for years,
which seemed like lifetimes.
I received revelations and
brief moments of Clarity
(I had epiphanies so powerful that I
felt overwhelmed
Felt godlike myself
Ego took hold
subverted good intentions
into human power struggles
Self-love, and unhealthy pride
I was locked-up in chains
Searching in vein for a sharp tool...

I used to beg desperately for help
But you responded in riddles
Forcing me to think about what I was unable to
(I am so far beneath your Majesty)...

I gave up control,
(which was a powerful illusion)
Released
my Regrets
through your son Jesus Christ, and
sincerely asked your forgiveness
for injustices I inflicted upon others
and myself

Acknowledging you as
All-knowing,
All-powerful

I began to pray...
Asking for guidance everyday
Strength to overcome difficulties
Power to control myself
Inspiration to feed creativity
Trust to love freely
Humility to accept what I cannot change
Patience to wait for answers & Redemption
Compassion for the sufferings of others

So many Requests...
But you are
Eternally Patient

Finally,
a sense of peace began to awaken in me, through prayer and effort and your guidance
I became whole.

You Created
Mysteries
far beyond my comprehension
I can only ponder your
All-encompassing Wisdom

Vast...
You are everywhere
and everything and
everyone all at once

Now...
I feel deep in my Soul

your
Power
Grace and
Love

No words can describe my
Awe and
Love for you
God

Beyond
any name
or symbol
or style
Your Majesty can
never be Defined

Humbly
I Thank You
