Sassafras

“sassafras”

 

 
 
it was cool 
deep 
in the wood 
where 
only purity 
existed 
barely naked 
running 
down paths 
of wild thoughts 
lost 
in shadows 
the sun 
never sees... 
at dusk 
we drank 
sassafras 
delved 
into dreams 
sleeping 
as the stars 
watched.
