Phone Call

If you need me, I’m here
And even though we don’t really talk anymore,
I’m just a phone call away.
You just don’t know it,
Because you slipped away.
Are you still close enough for me to snatch back?
Because even though I won’t admit it,
I miss you; and I was wrong.
And I'm sitting here regretting my rejection
Of you. But I'll never admit it
You just have to come back.
Maybe you are curious.
Is there still something there?
The answer is yes:
I’m still just a phone call away…

Ha! This is so true - most people would rather hold their tongue than admit to something that would render them potentially vulnerable. Nicely done Ashleigh!
