Cancer the Silent Death

It can control your mind if you let it.
It can spread so fast like a beast with hunger.
It will spare no one with the pain.
It likes to hit one with so much force that it will knock you right off your feet.
Cancer is its name and death if you let it is its game.
There is still hope for one to grow old.
Just pray for strength to go on.
There are so many who are rooting for you.
Be strong and hold on, fight it back, don't let it win the game.
After all you are fighting with your life.
There is so much more to live for.
It will be worth the fight you will see.
The flight has just begun
The radiation will be no fun.
You will lose your hair; no one will care,
because they know the game that cancer will play.
You will be walking in the line all the time.
Getting sick is the worst of it, there will be days you wish it would just go away.
Then there will that one day you wish it would just take you and end the game.
You feel as if you have no more life to fight.

Hopefully you will not be alone with this beast or it will, devourer you whole.
The deep, black, lonely, darkness, only you can feel within your body.
Not having the control your so use to.
It is one heck of a game,
the beast of cancer will play,
with every part of your body,
from your head to your toes.
If you find out you just can't take it no more.

Pick up the phone and call a friend,
or anyone who you know can help you get thought it.
They can help you feel a bit better to know that you are not alone.
The battle is yours to fight,
all others can do is stand by you,
or even hold your hand.
With their smile and love,
it can go as far as a mile.

So hold your head up high and tell this beast it will not be able to win this game and fight with everything you can. Take your stand, there are those who have fought and won against the hunger of the beast. So please from those who love you don't give up and fight to live. Add your name to the list of those who have fought and won.
