Don'T Turn On the Light
It's in the dark
That I pour out my heart
and acknowledge my wrong
asking God to make me strong
Confessing that I've fallen short of his glory
he's always willing to hear my story
he consoles and comforts me
he keeps from danger I can not see
he chastise me without pity
he shows no remorse for his children that are siddity
instead he wants to kill the pride
that lies inside
tame the wild
and confound the proud
because humble is the way
and I'm subdued to the spirit the more I pray
I'm mindful of how I walk
I have better control of what I say
I give him all that I have with tears streaming down
Its my desire to wear a crown
when its all over
nothing compares to being blessed
not even a four leaf clover
some fear the dark
but I'm pleading for a clean heart
so consider my press as I fight
and don't turn on the light
