Sweet Little Angel
Sweet little angel close your eyes this day is almost done
The sadness that once tore your heart will leave and soon be gone
Forget about the darkened skies and the shadows all around
Forget about the raging storms that sadly gloomed the morn
Sweet little angel close your eyes your fears and tears will cease
Tonight I’ll watch right over you and peace will fill your dreams
Think of skies with hues of blue and suns as bright as gold
Think of meadows full of flowers and birds that sing sweet tunes
Remember times of happiness when smiles filled all your days
When climbing trees and flying free was all you’d ever need
Sweet little angel close your eyes and rest your head on me
Just let go and soon the morn will come and set you free.
