The Girl That's Tough

I'm going somewhere,
somehow, someway.
I'm gunna be somebody,
someday.

Today, I'll try my best.
Even though, I'm such a mess.
I wont let nobody see,
that I'm slowly falling to my knees.

I cant handle all this stress.
I don't want them to think of me any less-
but I'm so sick of trying to impress.

I'm hoping one day this stress will ease,
and I'll be able to finally breathe.
As for now I'll just smile, and hope It's enough.
Cus' I'm so sick of being known as the girl that's tough.

Edward Ebbs Date: 10/22/2011 8:12:00 AM Great Poem...your poem is almost in a shape of a tree! Sometimes life can be defeating. I was called Steady Eddie when I was young. People can be so cruel and many are just lost. One the outside I was strong, but inside that was not true. My grandmother always told me that behind the dark clouds the sun is still shinning. We just need to look for it and believe in ourselves. The sunny days are what gets us through life. Smiles for you :-)
