If I Tell You That I Love You

If I tell you that I love you,
Will you say it back to me?
If I tell you that I love you,
Will you run away and scream?
If I tell you that I love you,
Will you think it's a nightmare?
If I tell you that I love you,
Will you think it's just a dare?
If I tell you that I love you,
Would you kiss me in the rain?
If I tell you that I love you,
Would you become a greater pain?
If I tell you that I love you,
Would you stop and kiss my hair?
If I tell you that I love you,
Will our hearts become a pair?
If I tell you that I love you,
Would you love me with all of your soul?
Or will it take me forever to realize
that you let me fall down on my own?
