Unforgettable
And as I watched the sun set over that lake
I thought to myself in reflection
How would I find my way back to this place
This menagerie of earthly wonder
When my reassurance came slowly
To mind in the form of a song, sweet lyrics
And as my mind recalled that simple melody
That sight before me was imprinted upon my mind
Along with the road that I'd taken to arrive
At that lake of humble serenity
And I understood that it was not only the sunset
Or the delicate shades of pink and blue
But rather the journey, the curious steps
The gentle notes leading into the chorus
And as I turned to make my departure
I could hear the last few notes sounding in the trees
