Dreams

DREAMS
Pain in my heart runs wild...
out of control with no end in site...
I pray for a change... any change
So I may begin to feel right
What have I done...

Am I that terrible, to feel unloved
alone and unwanted...
ugly and fallen
For is this what is to be my life?

I must dream....
Flowers, smiles and sunshine
A place of love and embrace
To keep me alive...
in hopes that make believe
will one day be reality

Life alone just isnt living
though with someone
no promises are given
Distance is the enemy

So, I dream....
for that warm embrace
love from beyond
waiting for me at its own pace

My heart is full
but slowly bleeding
the oxygen of love
continues to be missing

So, I will dream..
dream for me
its all I have
dreams for me

Welcome to the site. I know you will like it here. This is a very descriptive work. A nice poetic introspection.
