Pull

Nothing pulls quite as hard
Like the lost days that never start
Like the days you spent in the dark
You’re pulling on my broken heart

For reasons that we never know
the winter rain and the summer snow
down above or up below
we turn it ‘round before we go
Catch a flight or ride the train
our destiny is still the same
we chose to wear these heavy chains
they tear our flesh and our remains

But nothing pulls quite as hard
As you pull the strings of my heart
One day it will come clean apart
No nothing pulls quite as hard
