Path Found

By now my bruised and twisted soul
Should have found its peace
I watched with a wistful heart
As he traveled a distant sea.
By now my weary heart
Should have found its anchor
I watched with anticipation
As she made her way towards
Her ultimate destination.
By now my troubled eyes
Should have made their coming home
My ears listened for their return
As they slowly drifted forward.
By now my troubles should have passed
And a peace should be coming
I wait with a drawn in breath
For a moment without a restless spirit
