We were first friends and for years we grew up together
I fell for you, when I shouldn’t
For years, I kept it inside of me
Not ready to reveal my true emotions
For I feel it will ruin everything we have between us
You let me wear your clothes and I felt the comfort
You hug me when I needed it, and I felt the love
You made me smile & laugh, and I felt the energy
If only I could hold it forever
Not letting go what once was
I knew you, even before you knew yourself
You came out, with no acceptance from the ones you love
I was there showing what I had always given to you over time
The smell of passionate smoke surrounding us
I wish I can take your pain away, but all I could do was hold you
The spark between us develop and we were together finally
But no one knew one mistake ruin it all
The heartbreak that made me cry every night
I thought I knew you, when we were under that dark sky
Where I look into your eyes and knew this was where I’m meant to be
Now all I see is what was, as I reminisce about us
Your presence and scent linger everywhere I go
As I make my way through the rain
We would never be the same anymore
You became the person I no longer know
