at the bitter end

It’s my deathbed piano sonata
Fond farewell I say to a lotta
Note: At door there’s a fist--
A bouncer with the list
Of any persona non grata

Author's Note: This was inspired by my neighbor Lilian. We were talking the other day about dying and the fact that certain relatives would not be welcome at the party--the ones who have been nothing but trouble in life. Can't we at least enjoy our own demise?
