a pied piper on steroids

Threats of blood baths easily roil
Cult members whose sentiments boil
Devotees tribal
Shall get D.T.’s bible
Soiled with drizzles of snake oil

Don't worry. CNN is totally focused on his fall. I am in a floundering nation with no one to look to for integrity of leadership.

Great limericks, Duke. There is such a cult culture fortifying many political leaders in the world today. Snake oil sells much these days. Br well. Brian

Brilliant limerick dear Duke with feelings well and very cleverly expressed alongside a brilliant picture that you have found too. Perfect! ‘ Soiled with drizzles of snake oil’ - so profound. Dear Sotto comments are so accurate. Brilliant abbreviations with DT. Well done. This will resonate with many and how they feel. :):)

Hey, Duke your limerick skillfully explores the moral intricacies that emerge from the political landscape particularly emphasizing the cunning strategies employed by a leader with aspirations of dictatorial control. It expertly utilizes clever wordplay and alliteration to effectively convey its message with a strong impact. The meticulously selected expressions, like "blood baths," "sentiments boil," "Devotees tribal," and "drizzles of snake oil," create powerful visualizations and elicit intense emotional reactions. In addition, the inclusion of the abbreviation "D.T." adds a satirical element to the poem.

We all know how it ends. The needs and endless greed and hierarchy. Great work Duke.

Snake oil is what is being sold, Duke. Very eloquently you delivered this potent message. Some will never heed the warning. Democracy at risk!

Drizzles of snake oil, what a powerful line to depict what youv wanted to convey here; the sly and untruthful nature of politics today; youv captured that very well. One thing iv realized through my experience here in my country is that, political leaders use individuals as they please to gain what they want; and so many fall for it, theres only very few sincere politicians, and that picture is brilliant very inspiring. Fits also your limerick that flows with excellent rhymes. Sending you light

Dear Duke, What a powerful commentary on the manipulation of fear and rhetoric in society. I love your sharp wit and incisive words which cut through the noise, exposing the dangers of blind allegiance and deceitful leadership. Brilliantly crafted. - Blessings, Daniel
