Verbal Abuse

In the depths of words, a darkness twists,

Where pain and sorrow firmly persist.

Verbal arrows pierce with deadly aim,

Leaving wounds unseen, but no less aflame.

The tongue, a weapon of fierce distress,

Unleashing storms that life cannot suppress.

The power of words, both cruel and severe,

Striking at hearts, filling minds with fear.

Hear the echoes of harsh voices abound,

Destructive syllables, tearing souls to the ground.

Like venomous serpents, they coil and hiss,

Leaving scars deep within, impossible to dismiss.

Words, once tender, now shaped with disdain,

Fueling a cycle, like a relentless, churning train.

Invisible shackles, bruised spirits they bind,

Leaving dreams shattered, cruelly confined.

But let us hold on to hope's fragile thread,

To heal the wounds inflicted, no matter how dread.

For in the power of words lies a chance anew,

To lift one another, create skies of blue.

Let kindness prevail where cruelty impedes,

A symphony of love, birthing noble deeds.

With words of compassion, we'll rise above,

Mending souls wounded by verbal abuse.

So listen, my friend, to this heartfelt plea,

Uplift with your words, set the troubled soul free.

For in the realm of language, we surely hold sway,

Let us choose wisely, and love shall portray.
