Heavens Below

Standing on the rings of Saturn
I return
to the mother
supernovas in Cassiopeia
tied to her chair, belly big with vanity
long gone was her sight and her sanity - rotten
she stumbled and Andromeda fell from her mouth
it pushed me to spiral;
but a speck of light
and I fell
to ocean planets gushing and rushing with serpents
their ravenous appetites calling to me
their teeth shine like gemstones, brighter than Caph and Segin
I find my religion
once I arrive in empty skies
bony beings rattling their tails
on this earth’s crust, they leave their acid laced trails
my punishment is my life
and I’ll cry out until the end of time
to my twin stars coating this celestial sphere
praying I make it back to the cosmos
and her constellations
