Soar Or Sink

Breaking the chains-
Required lots of pain,
Starting from young age.

Mom died when I was 16
Dad passed when I was 23.
Their demons danced together,

Demons that neither could drown.
And those are what made them
Prematurely leave this earthly realm.

It’s through Devine intervention,
I’m not their replica.
It’s by grace given protection,
that I’m even alive.
The cards were so stacked against me.
And here I am-
Now, I rise.

The universe decided;
to break their generational curses
through me.
Starting with chronic intense pain
Since I was 3.

Growing up I felt like a suffocated rose-
Trying to escape beneath heavy mud.
I traumatically gained knowledge,
In order to grow.
I am the one with the strength
to break the chains.
God knows.

My parents demons danced together-
while through a dark realm,
the enemy was watching.
Darkness saw the potential the product
The evil enemy WANTED me to be.
He foresaw the greatness God had in store
for me.

I think in those moments a deal was made?

Which ever side I choose on earth-
I will become.
And I will master it-
Master it beyond comprehension.
The darkness led me into so much destruction-
I never knew how to properly function.

The devil and angel were on each shoulder.
Both had equal will.
But, the LIGHT has ultimately possessed me
More than the darkness can ever steal.

God, I love you. God, I thank you. God, I trust you. God, I praise you.

The shackles of pain and addiction,
are off of my parents now-
they are heavenly guiding me.
Their demons died when they did-
Now they wear a halo like a crown.
Their minds and hearts were cleansed.
Feeling so free, at ease, peace and blessed.

They Are Fiercely and gracefully
living through me.
Protecting me.
I have to serve out their purposes
that they couldn’t.
That’s a big job, for one soldier.
But a big destiny for a prophet.
