Letter To a Mom of Clingy Son

Hang in there! You wonder woman..
I know it's not easy
I know it's not all rosy..

But do trust me
It really is just a phase, as they say,
you ll miss when your boy will be big
and no more whirling around your legs

I know how it feels
when you have heaps and piles of work to be done
When everything is a mess
When the kitchen is unattended and scattered
When the living room is not really liveable
When you step on those poky toys and get hurt

But do trust me
You ll miss it when your boy stops sticking like a glue to you all the damn time!
Take a leap of faith as this will go in no time!

I also feel you,
how miffed you are from within when you are being followed every second
When you don't even get to use the restroom
When enjoying a good hot bath seems to be a far fetched luxury
When self care takes a back seat
When a timer of a few seconds is always set in your mind
To get that one urgent thing done

But do trust me
You ll miss your boy's precious expression
When he comes running at the very first sight of his mom's
When he does not want to leave your side for the world
When he wants to seek comfort only in your aura

So take one day at a time
Let go of your temporary frustrations
Let go off your worries about not able to do anything in life
Because trust me it is just a wonderful phase
That will never come back again!

I know it's not easy
It's not all rosy
But hang in there you wonder woman
And enjoy every bit of time with your clingy son!
