Do You Still Want To Go To the Psych Ward

In the psych ward,
There are people who don't have homes, or parents, or friends.
In the psych ward,
There are patients who have no hope and feel they are worthless.
In the psych ward,
There are people who will threaten you, and scare you, and yell at you.
The psych ward is a place where those who have tried to kill themselves go.
One patient may have abuse bruises,
The next might have self-inflicted wounds,
Another may yell and threaten others all day.
The psych ward is a place where people get restrained and medicated against their will.
People are often turned away due to insurance and money issues,
Now that is not fair, is it?
If I need to be admitted because I tell someone I want to kill myself and I have a plan,
But I can't be admitted because the hospital doesn't take my insurance.
People go home and kill themselves because they can't be admitted to a place they can’t hurt themselves,
Or so they say.
In the psych ward,
People beg and beg to be discharged.
In the psych ward,
Children as young as 12 can be thrown into a jail-like place because they are hurting inside.
In the psych ward,
Criminals are placed.
If you think the psych ward is cool, or a vacation,
You are sick.
It is not fun to be held against your will,
Put on meds you don't want,
Or even roomed with another person who shot someone.
The point is,
Do you still want to go to the psych ward?

I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
