Love Is Enough

Loving you was never easy but was worth it
I loved you through the good and bad
I loved you when you weren’t here and when you were.
My love was never enough but was more than anyone else could ever give
My words were never the right ones
My fears and insecurities a little too much
My life too chaotic
You broke all of that
I am still here I will not break, I will be strong, I will say goodbye
The memories will fade, the love will die, the regrets will fester and grow because my love was never enough

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God bless you.

Love waits for as long as it takes, for love to awake in estranged hearts standing apart, whilst yet free and unbound ~ wherever love is, becomes holy ground
