Tone of Voice

I am afraid of the tone of your voice
The second it changes from a
Sweet melody to a low rock song
Switching so quickly my head is
Spinning and the noise is getting
Loud so I do not think I will last
Much longer in this small house

You will take my hand and then
Quickly let go as if the known disease
Lies within my skin cells and was
Almost transferred to your bloodstream
Something impossible, simply possible
In your twisted mind that allows only
What works best for you and
Everyone else in on their own now

I am afraid of the cracks of thunder
From the reoccurring storm outside
Never giving up the bright flashes
Of God flicking that light switch one
More time as if the past one hundred
Was not enough to get the point
Across that someone is above me

You care for some but not all, such a
Messed up game when the list of ones
That you adore like the sun today and
The ones who made the weather turn
Stormy is forever unknown cause
Games are your thing and the cards
Are the people who would do anything
To be the ace but will always stay inferior

I am afraid of the look in your eyes and
The look I get when I make a move and
It is not the one you would have chosen
Completely calm oceans turn to massive
Waves crashing on everything in sight
Making my bones break under the pressure
Of your stare and eyes on the back of me
