One September Day

She arrived that warm
September day
a moment of pure bliss
of connection
and yearning

The sound of the waves
and the smell of the sea

She arrived from a place
of love
of passion
and of freedom

She connects us together
tethered forever
with a chord of love
so strong

She arrived that warm
September day
but she knew
she couldn’t stay

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. Meanwhile, I welcome you with God's love, expressed in John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
