But Why

I close my eyes
I see nothing
A sense rolls in
Grabbing for my attention
Unfamiliar and foreign
I ask my minds translator
What is this that appears?
Please tell me
That is sadness my love
For that cannot be
I have all I need
I am sadness my love
You cannot be
I do not need you
I demand you to feel me
I must be making things up
I must be trying to find sadness
after all I am happy
This is me making things up
Mom is that you?
For how can sadness suite me?
Which is the imposter?
Is it me?
I DEMAND YOU FEEL ME
Sadness what are you really?
I am sadness, stop trying to hide me, please.
I open my eyes,
I look out the window
Stop trying to forget me please
Please feel me
I shed a tear and I cannot imagine why
That’s right, these are happy tears
I close my eyes
I don’t know if I feel
I look around to find the stranger
The sadness itself has gone away
I have won
The translator now in tears
I try to console it
All it ever wanted was to be felt
And it turns its back to me
I need you here
Now I’m spinning nauseatingly so
I see them all
Happiness steps forward
What is this place?
What do you mean, you’ve been here for a while?
I’ve never been here, most of us haven’t.
Then what is it I have been feeling all this time?
