Young Maiden

She would appear in the moonlight,
Dazzling everyone,
Shining like the truest star.

The maiden would dance till the dawn,
Would awaken her love from the snore.
But true love fell before it began
And the pure young maiden wasn’t whole again.
The maiden was not pure no more,
As she closed her eyes, and let her tear let go

Her heart was white as snow,
Her body was fragile like the glass
The sharpest ends that stabbed her heart
Filled the blood everywhere,
As her colours drained

Her arms slowly lost all support
As people’s words layed down her bed
She fell, and never woke up again.

That’s the day where her mother cried,
The world’s voice said goodbye,
All it took to pay it back
Was her life that she brought it back.

She would appear in the moonlight,
Dancing even brighter than the sky
She was all the young girls had
She was the young maiden
That was one of the truest stars
That would burn over in the dark.

The young maiden would dance till dawn,
And smile like there’s no end
As she is still a pure women
That would give her life to protect
As she is now an angel
From up above the stars.

Very sad a frail, yet in a beautiful and brooding way. It brought to mind a few lovely paintings by the masters.
