Prayer

I’ve been walking this road such a long time we run parallel but you turn the other way. Can’t I even have this one thing?
I used to shine bright but now the embers are dying and blowing away.My one wish is happiness but will you permit even a smile to bridge our way back all I have is a prayer it’s quiet and still will it take flight or die in a cage?
I shiver in this cold you have let take over everything the truth is hidden behind kind words but do they mean anything when it comes from a vipers lips?
Winding down like a doll this road is to long can I gather the strength from yesterday and keep going or will I turn back even the time to the beginning?
Please look my way I’m Drowning in tears while your back is turned even this prayer is not enough to gather you in my arms one more time
Please look this way
