The Path of the Train

THE PATH OF THE TRAIN

The tracks rattle
The floor rattles
I rattle
The train I’m on goes on

If the train had no stations
Where would it stop?
If I had no limitations
Where would I?

If the train had no tracks
Where would it go?
If I didn’t get all the feedback
Where would I?

If the train had no people
Waiting for it to disappoint
If I had none

I rattle.
I sympathize.
I wonder.
What if
The train had no stations?
What if neither did I?

Saniya, I like trains, station-less or trackless, and I like your poem. -Richard

Saniya, this poem had a happy clip clop cadence to it that felt like a train ride to me. This is difficult to do, and yet, you did. Welcome to Poetry Soup. This is a great start!
