A Day Like Any Other Day
Today is just
One of those days
You wake up knowing
That ahead you must face
That one thing you want to erase
It takes so long to get out of bed
Wishing these thoughts weren’t in
Your head
As your feet touch the floor
You stand and reach for the door
But before you can turn the knob
You break down and sob
These feelings you have deep inside
Are trying so hard to come alive
They linger in the back of your head
The next thing you know you’re back in bed.
