Mortal

Only by watching those dead bodies, might I find the sporadic cold har truth about life then-
By no means for a mortal, but I was rather close to the universe then-
No, I’ll never know the moment is ephemeral, but I could’ve sensed it then-
Others and others, hubbub serves for good then-
I see darkness slithering, where there is no dim light, no warm air-
But it’s so wet, so dull, so frightening-
It reeks, it reeks and whole room is all sealed-
Then eternity was totally captured, and rolled and rolled and rolled towards me-
Then will I ask? For joy?
Will I fear? For the unknown?
Will I still have a chance to confess?
Or will I grab a hold before it all ends-
