Curtain Call

The curtain rises and the act begins
put that foot here
say this word now
don't you advertise that fear

Cause babe we're putting on a show
the fake smiles come to natural
and I got to let you know
we got to get control
got to stop this

The words come out flawlessly
we been through this act hundred of times
knowing what to do
and what to say
hiding our souls so secretly
praying to god no one finds out

Hey babe, look the curtains closing
we waited to long
our bodies their disposing
for the next show, they're too wrong
tried too hard to be the right one
didn't last long
now our act is done
and our chance is gone

Cause babe we put on a good show
the fake smiles came too natural
and Its too late to realize
too late to control

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
