Denise Gold Poem
She is the wind on a hot summer day
A swift refreshing breeze that cools you down when you need it most
But she is also the roaring wind that comes with a twister
Ripping foundations out of the ground wherever she goes
She is the shimmer of sunshine after all the rain has fallen
The rainbow that radiates when the clouds have dispersed
But she is also the rain, and the clouds, and the storm
It just depends on what emotions she has dwelling inside her
She is the music that plays softly on the radio
A beautiful note calming the ears of her listeners
But she is also the rock and roll blaring through the speakers so loud that no one can understand the words
She is beautiful chaos
The perfect mixture of peace and disarray

Denise Gold Poem
Depression engulfs me into its depths and drowns me in its sorrow,
an ocean so deep that I fear I will never reach the bottom.
Instead, I just swim aimlessly like a scuba diver who is running out of air but can't remember which way is up.
I flail trying to find my way, but I can never swim out of its darkness.
When will I be able to come up for air? I am drowning in this feeling

Denise Gold Poem
Searching for the next place to find herself, but never a place to call home.
An uncaged bird always flying away.
