Spoken Word - This Heart

Spoken Word

This heart cannot stand to be ignored.
I no longer want your pity.
Lack of empathy you threw at me,
Accusations, never touching my skin
Cut so deep.

Tormented by memories
Things you said and did
Echos and vibrations of emotions
I still shed like autumn leaves.
Fallen.

A perfect pattern of scattered memories
Trail behind me.
This bare and baron tree
Rooted so deeply.

It is but the tip,
the edges where the branches meet the sky
Of the deep soul you crushed
your words repeatedly tore me apart.

No more will I allow you to sit upon these branches.
Enjoying the fresh air and the magnificent view.
These branches have place for only those who cherish.
For those who deserve my love.

My broken beating heart will mend
I no longer stand for your pity.
I no longer beg for your pardon.

This heart. Deserves gentleness

This heart. Deserves true love

Spoken Word - Together Ready

I love the way he wants me.
He kisses my lips like it is the last time he will taste me,
Like the last drop of water on a hot summers day.
His thirst is never quenched.

Dazed and confused I emerge from a wonderland
Unsure of where or what or why.
Enveloped in his world,
I no longer know where I end and he begins

He looks at me in ways I have dreamed about
He sees me for me,
all the flaws, and freckles, and faults
And still he comes back for more

God I love this man,
Who utters words that makes my heart race in ways I have never felt before
He makes my body shiver at his gentle touch
A heart of gold, mind so pure, so complex

My hero, A knight in shining armor, ready for war
Ready to fight the battles I face, within me,
With me, He stands tall,
Waiting patiently,
Ready

Emotions Running Wild

Silent confessions,
Of things we don't mention.
My emotions, run wild

Mediocre possessions,
With daming silent confessions,
His emotions, ran wild

Is it mere reflections?
Of those things we never mentioned?
Our emotions, are running wild.

Spoken Word - I Give

Drive into the ocean
Of my emotions
Tuck into it, like a Sunday roast
Gorged and full, You are satisfied

I resemble Christmas day
Gifts a dozen, Wrapped elegantly
Silver and red, ribbons and bows
I keep giving and giving and giving

A smile delicately laced across my face
You never question the silver plate
Abundant with treasure
You take and take and take

Rip Kiwi

Pulling together the pieces
Our broken hearts lay bare
A needle and thread is what we need
To rescue what is left, we share

The constant tears steam forth
Memories of years gone by
Finally you lay to rest
We all get our final goodbye

Unexpected Happiness

You make me happy
Happiness I have never felt before
A blissful love of life
A place I call home

Unexpected love
the best kind to find
catches you by surprise
doubt, not in my mind

To start a life with you
All I want to share
I scare myself endless
I sabotage things so fair

This one I pray, no
Let me wonder around the foreign land
Eager for more, Weary of the outcome
Besotted all the same.

You Think You Know Me

You think you know me
A river that runs deep
I am an ocean you fool
A sailors retreat

You think you know me
I'll let you in on this
You only know an iota
I am pure Bliss

You think you know me
By the light of the Moon
We needed more time
You left to soon

You think you know me
I laugh, you don't
Our fun was a second
You bailed, now run

Seduction

He seduced her mind slowly,
Like the sun welcomes day,
Little by little,
Her darkness fell away

Drifting ever closer
He climbed within her mind,
Intimate, beautiful words,
She left the familiar behind

Passionate secret moments,
She knew would come to end,
Felt the time approaching,
Undeniable,
She was unable to defend

He had etched his way into her bones,
She wasn't ready for this night,
They agreed to put the passion to rest,
Summer morning began with a winters bite.

Shape of You

I sit here alone, without you,
Longing so much to feel whole,
This gaping hole you left wide open,
No correct shape fills the role.

Old Habits

You invalidated my feelings
My emotions are real
I feel things you only wish to feel
A relationship isn't a business deal

You say I over think things
Overthinking is a curse
Scrutinize your every move
I think my head may burst

You don't see what I see
The potential that we have
I need you to see what I see
or it will be distruction at its worst

Old patterns and old behaviours
habits that need to end
my heart truly adores you
But do you can see its worth

We survived another raw moment
Another time, things got real
This isn't a fantasy partnership
We are humans after all

I love you sweetheart
with almost everything I have
Break me, it will be over
I walk to save a piece of myself
