Say It, Sing It

Say I am willing to spill a cup of coffee all over your shirt…, all in the name of oops
Say waking up to the smell of Caffeine is the only competitor worthy to bruise the snooze button of an
alarm clock
Say it, Say I belong
To the darkest shade of your outta skin
Before you can tear it off to match the complexion of the main character in this scene
Of witnessing domineers playing slave to what could have been
Say I am ready to be your submissive
Your muscles without brains
Your black stallion on your most savage moments
Like, like instead of being the runaway bride
You opt to walk away
Say I am ready to be your movie
On my mute days of saying nothing
But you and you alone get to read the subtitles of my untold story…, verbally spoken
Your DSTV explorer when you want to pause live transmission of what is currently going over to you
Rewind and select which language you want to hear it coming from me
French: Je t’aime
Spanish: Te quiero
German: Ich liebe dich
Croatian: Volim te
Italian: Ti amo
Portuguese: Eu te amo
English: I love you
Ke ya o rata, that is in my mother tongue Sesotho
Say my life is in your finger tips
Say yes, you can touch my hair, invade my space and speak life where I left clues of death having a way
with me
The death toll rising like heavy floods colliding with a reservoir but the flow
Being a tar road
Say I want I and I to be your Noah
And you can be my arch
And together the becoming of what is yet to be written about shall happen there and then…
Building you, was already a way out
A piece of hope but only work is the only thing standing between you and becoming true
The agony, filling my soul up
That faith, never shows up nor never does it leave
He moves when you pray, that’s how it has always have been
Say, I will take Bible classes for you
, because I want to get it right
Walk in the footsteps of Jacob
Have an attention to detail like Boath
These men got the chance to do, what they had to do when they were still alive
Sing it
The gospel of our love is ready to be sang
Sing it, out loud
So that those who have not

A Beautiful Sin

We ask
How would it be like to cheat with your soulmate
My love,we have passed with flying colors defeating all odds yet we still stand now in sync more than ever Completing each others sentences is a coin tossed long time ago
We are far beyond that now
We are an academic article only to be found in the deep web
We are an epiphany of a Buddhist monk about to set his whole body on fire We complete each others thoughts
I ask
If we were to paraphrase the story
Were a fairy brings a tale in stead of making a living out of teeth Were you on the other side are dating another guy lets say his name is Sabelo and I am dating Karabo Can I pick you to be my partner in this sin
Imagine the fun we could have knowing exactly there's more to what reality is feeding us for breakfast There is more to what meets the heart
Can we do this ? Can we perfect this art of cheating?
Can we rename each other's contact numbers on our phones
Can we be jumpy whenever our partners seem to be penetrating deep within the transcriptions of reading between the lines Can our emails be the last line of defense in our communication
Would you dare do for completeness ?
Would you live a glow in the dark life and be in the command center of what peeks your interests in being happy? In fact ,allow me to be an ass
Tell me about your day
Tell me about him, whats missing in his touch that made you gallop in my front door and choose to ooze in my touch ... I will tell you why I am here also, speaking paradise ....,deceiving.. I ask
Is deceiving a justification of a true act of love?
I read somewhere that when you love two people at the same time
Go for the second
Because if you truly loved the first one,you wouldn't have fallen for the second one in the first place I would find you in another lifetime and recognize you in a different language Darling ,it just happens in these timeline its called cheating a century from now Can we turn the tables around?
Can you sneak in my flat?
Leave in the early hours and blame it on your friend
Can Sabelo be a fool for us?
Can he not see whats going on here
Can I pass you walking with him,can I greet you guys? Shake his hand and only look at you once ... Can our hug in front of him be innocent?
We ask
How would it be like cheating with your soulmate?

Lost Lover

Your love is lost
Your word descended from the pits of starvation
Emotionally, for a month I resided in your arms like an orphan
Stayed by your side
Rested under your feet
Nana instead of using my spine as a stepping stool
You walked all over me.

Your footprints left a burning mark on my skin, the least of my worries were,
Will you ever catch a grenade in a war for us?
I was hit by an atomic bomb when I stretched my arms reaching,
For a piece of paper to write
A century for the new age
Our time as one flesh being a mechanism to count the years life was found upon,
Nana the forever part in the text was dry
I blew the ink off the surface with all my breath
Just a little longer…, I would have died,
I would have died for what to you was only a page that I found on top of your desk,
Died for what to me was a book found in the middle of incredible happenings.

The ink was dry …
The font was final, I should have landed your hand
Hold it tight and slowly write Ls and Os’ .., Vs and E’s till the last page
Just the way they do it in grade R
Lost lover
My tears are no longer in the scope of being dry,
They have out lived the agony and colonized a pond in Ficksburg,
The fluid is rich with what will sustain an ecosystem
An ever Lange of melting Ice cubes
Filling up oceans, refusing to reflect but rather give in to the rays of the over Seeing Eye God has called the sun,
A tragedy of humankind but a step closer to cleansing the planet

They say for a virus to parish, the host must be put down
In simple terms
You no longer qualify to be called a lost lover
Our planet died a long time ago
You no longer host this love
The missing part of the story no longer exist
I have found you to be perfectly fit to stand with other stones
Pave a way for a new
Lost lover
The title has left its purpose for thee
I wish you can see what happens inside of me when thee wakes up every morning
There’s this sudden rush to end this poem
And get back to bed.

Eternal

One day
When we all thought Saturday was a depiction of the sky raining with birds..., singing..
Blue as the day comes with heat..., ready to call itself a sunny day
My loved one received a call...
Her father has just passed on
A phone call that changed the flavored air that was in the room that had bottled up oxygen made up from the amount of deep breaths taken by the thought of perfecting a goodbye
One day..., One of us...,will cover the cost of a funeral with more than just groceries and R200 airtime
My love...,
there could never be forever's here, So you will have to hang up..
God is on the other side of the speed dial
I have never lost a parent before..
All my life I have watched those who are near and dear to me trade a touch for memory
So Dear Mother
Before you pass on I will marry this woman
and together we will spread and stretch the branches of our arms to keep her warm
I will believe in rituals, I will believe in the forever part
I will believe in the story of two souls conjoined in one body...,
you will live in her eyes
Dear Father
our timeliness do not have eternity printed at the back of the book, so I am coming Home, the smell from a dish death prepared for us has made its way to my kitchen
The ingredients are of accepting life as a flash of the moment
I am hungry
Dear Mom and Dad
I will be a walking monument of the characteristics of your morals and values
before you pass on...
Please answer the phone
Dear Parents
I love you

Subliminal

Only if you knew that you live like a God in a place my heart has found you fit to rule
only if you knew that I would be the opposite of what God would cal one of his own if I Were to find out that not only I
Can make you smile and make you feel sugary and not have an explanation for it
Only if you knew
you would recent the idea of falling asleep on my chest
The very foundation of your peacekeeping concentration camp would play out like the rest
You would start believing in a curse
only if you knew what would happen in the Myst of a fairy-tale Adam and eve would see themselves immortalized in being chopped in half
if My existence learnt that the absence of another man in one of the most important days of your life brought you nothing but the question of where you stand
while I. The King Still reigns by your side
I would crack open the heavens and drag down an angel with its wing
Hold it down long enough till the sins of this earth stain it so that the rejection would last longer that than existence itself
Only if you knew
How that stayed with me without knowing
The honesty we find in solace
sets us on road trips we don't have lunch boxes for
sometimes,is it about listening or is about subjecting yourself to the moral of what is right
My dear
I know the power of chemistry,It has the tendency of showing off by blowing up before the magician can make a perfect landing
Especially when the story was left on a good note
subliminally,
He invaded my castle
killed my guards and two pit bulls got into my fortress
sat on my throne and felt home
only if you knew what it does to me
That you too can establish communication that is no where to be seen
It breaks my ego in what can be put together again
only if you knew
what I would give to have the ability to snatch his contact numbers off your mind
you can look me in the eye
Serenade me with what you have to say with your mouth but its your eyes that I am looking for
windows to your soul my love
I wish you knew
how beating your life because your heart is deformed can have an impact in your trust
The trust our names put together rhymes with
Subliminally
 Are we really that strong?
are we aware of the vulnerabilities that are there to parish us off
Maybe just maybe
I am reading to much into a dream
could the feeling be mutual ?

Tshego

Each time I put them the under, They still want to test me
After all that has been said and done
His completions wont complete me, I have divided myself by one
Please stop asking questions...
I am the answer to His riddle
I am the portion of his wind
I am the spoon between tongue and teeth
and I dare not add my revision
for I dare not suffer twice
and I dare not be thy Christ
and I dare not dwell in the past
and I welcome any Khosi sitting in his plastic bench
waiting for joi to go
and I suffer here alone Lord, petted by my evil thought
How I have tried to stripped them from bone to bone
I have struggled and I have fought
Every jealous war intentions smuggled sown into jeans
Every hidden tendencies exploiting me in me
Each time I put them under, they still want to test me
I have been sitting here for what now seems to be an hour
I have raised every kept question from the dead and given power
to my absence of my sanity
Up above the highest testaments, down below the wooden floor..
the sag-gated womb will breach black and blue beneath the hidden door
deep beneath you will find attributes of drunken men who were banging their heads against the dead
each day he tries to stand, an as he stands he stands pressed against the very woman he loves
Kissing eyes and hips, embracing hips...
surrendering to her touch
and just at the valley of the very woman he touches
heart to heart
she pulls from his touch, because it is too much to bare
once they go apart

Fat Girl Problems

She says
That her belly is too big
That her favourite jean cant seem to fit
That her skin is showing signs of spilling over ,she says she's afraid of going to the shop she looks like a freak
She's convinced that her momentum might slow her crush down thats why she barely goes shopping she's certain
None of her clothes are for keeps
None of her man kept an eye clean
From what she saw herself being
An inside job and a character beautiful enough to make it on his sheets
Sexy enough to stimulate an eraction but fail to maintain a conversation of when is the right time to give her a ring
And call it the way it is
That its Just only about the pussy and save this fat girl some tears
Save her some air time
Save her some self desructing moments like is my love really that heavy to never make one stay for dinner
And maybe see if the meal will bring up things she wanted to talk about the most .....
Without looking twice at the mirror and disliking what she sees
An elephant trapped in a reflection she would love to fall inlove with
One day, she will stop missing the most important memories in her life because she couldn'get out of her room without tapping this extra weight, without putting on a brave face and lowering her expectations
Without throwing tantrums at herself like a jew shooting snapshots of holocaust in the sky
She says shes tired of being fat
Shes tired of always looking extra to cover up this image that introduces her even when shes one her phone
Even when shes minding her size already

Book: Reflection on the Important Things
