Auckel Leena Poem
The rose bud
The soft petals
Clad between the sepals
Oblivious to daily dismals
Drops of water dribbled
Gliding soflty off the sepals
Not a single drop
Reaching the smooth petals.
Sweet Little Rose
She was protected likewise
by her beloved parents
Shielded was she of difficulties
Not a single hardship did she encounter
They were deviated vehemently
By this armour called Parents!
The rose bud had bloomed
Into a beautiful flower
The sepals had curled downwards
All the same supporting the rose.
The rains came again
How the droplets
Landed ruthlessly on the petals!
Poor rose flower was drenched!
Little Rose blossomed
Into a lovely maiden
Her parents were bent with age
Yet upholded their Rose.
Challenges arose again
How they bore down
Upon Sweet Rose
Poor Rose was burdened!

Auckel Leena Poem
She traced her scar
She was devastated
Why me? She stated
Oh strong lady
Don't lose hope
With all you should cope
Your present condition
does not define your situation
Like Superheroes wear their cape and scars with the same pride
And so shall you wonder woman!
You are the woman with a scar aside
Due to a battle fought and won.
Prejudices- don't presume
By stigma -don't be consumed
A fighting spirit - you should assume
Oh lady in pink
You won't sink
Once a survivor
Now a Pink Warrior!

Auckel Leena Poem
We met around a bonfire in the rains
Love bloomed and more trysts entailed.
Soon we walked down the aisle
Candid picture of the perfect couple.
Another Monsoon season came
Spotted him across the bonfire
The embers reminded me burnt photos
And suddenly we were strangers again!

Auckel Leena Poem
It was yet another day
Tossing my bag in the car and driving away
Dodging through the busy streets
Amidst the tyre screeches.
We thought Corona was at bay,
But still the virus crept its way,
Leaving us short of breath
Torturing some to death.
We were all let down
When came the lockdown.
Panic, fear and desperation
Exacerbated by the sequestration.
Hearts filled with dread,
Not knowing what lay ahead.
Health worker went to heal
Mask on,with the same zeal.
Busy streets now deserted
All forms of traffics now busted.
At junctions, instead of horns blaring
Cheerful chirps of bird are airing
Humans are healing from their bruised ego
Shut in their houses with nowhere to go.
The atmosphere is eerily calm
As if Nature is applying its own balm.

Auckel Leena Poem
Waves wash away imprints left on sand
That we leave behind walking hand in hand
Admiring our first sunset
In your embrace our heartbeats met.
And my broken self went on a mend.
As I pull my damp tresses through the hair band
You tuck away my stubborn hair strand
With my fingers, I trace our names’ vignette
Waves wash away imprints left on sand.
You have now left for another land.
Life without you seems so bland.
Why those moments I can’t forget?
Captured in a solitaire’s net
In a vast seashore, all alone I stand
Waves wash away imprints left on sand

Auckel Leena Poem
Her billowing dress beckons me
Her bouncing curls wave to me.
Her retreating footsteps fading away
Her diminishing frame bidding me adieu.
I realise my mistake - too late.
I never valued her love- bad fate.
