Aidan Dufaux Poem
In this castle
Created in my mind
A tree,
This tree
A scar
A jagged one
Still healing
Blood dripping
Forms a path
Two watchmen
Chipping away
Away at it's skin
Creating holes
To suck out blood
Warning others
To follow the path
The path
A constant path
Almost invisible
Leaves an endless highway
That will not be seen
From
Far away
it forms a thin
Long and Knotted trail
Small black dots
On this pathway
Twisting and turning
Around the tree
In this castle
Created in my mind
None have wondered
Where this path goes
They follow the crowd
The sounds
Constant sounds
Almost silent
Leave prints
That will be heard
Far away
Calluses, Sores, and scabs
Created
From the non-stop endless migration
The rhythmic pecks
The perpetual stomps
Of these creatures
in my mind
Forever
Endless
As it seems
When will one
break through it's sea
The truth
An unknown truth
Can be turned into
Lies
The destination unknown
Cannot be reached
As it is
So
Far away

Aidan Dufaux Poem
Clinging desperately
A lone leaf
On an autumn branch,
Enduring the cold winds that blow
The breath of winter,
The darkened skies,
The bare branches of a skeleton tree.
One more push and it will fall,
Swoop down in all glory,
To paraphrase life's forgotten misfit ideals
No matter the tenacity of the leaf,
How strong its stem holds,
Falling is fate,
And rotting is
Inevitable
Among the others
Engraved in stone.

Aidan Dufaux Poem
Above a dark hill
One flower
A flower amongst others fallen
His skinny malnourished browning trunk among them
His pale face watches and ponders
His eyes slowly dimming like the stars
The stars die fast then are born again
That's what we see through our eyes
How fast do we pass
How fast do our eyes dim
To the stars above
In their dark cloudy space

Aidan Dufaux Poem
This is just a quick message I'm sending out to let you know that I'm back on after a long absence. I had brain surgery on a brain tumor(called vestibular shwannoma). Just wanted to update you on my absence.

Aidan Dufaux Poem
The sunset, falls slowly
Blistering, she slips wantonly home
A Blossoming flower spins freely in the wind
The droplet, falls quietly, silent on the apple tree
A fluid sigh slips, and spirals among the stars

Aidan Dufaux Poem
Long walks at night
A cold breath freezes my soul
The moon warms it up
She shines in my body,
But my blind eyes cannot see it
I was told she had a face like a clock
She spots the thieves by the garden wall
She hushes children
And charms the flowers
to close their eyes
Until the rooster sings his song

Aidan Dufaux Poem
These ripples in
Time
That twist then
Turn
Through the tipping
Towers
They bend the
Times
They fall through
Time
Their time then
Sinks
That they had
Together

Aidan Dufaux Poem
In my house, the flickering candles dance on the ceiling,
The steady sound of cars passing,
I close my eyes, then gray skies
Raining up, instead of down
Dark waves cover me, a current takes over me,
This current that likes to surf my soul, it pulls the tears out of me
Like trying to run though a muddy swamp
Or escaping from a thick fog
This endless war inside of me, will never stop,
The ups and downs, The happies and sads
He takes my tears, up they go, up into his ragged dirty linen,
The pillows up there, they rain up
Why do they take the things that hurt,
Out of us and eat it
Just to return it, like a finely wrapped present, so we can eat it
To close our eyes again

The grass is never greener
