Heather Brearley Poem
I have a very sad
story to my life.
A life of depression.
Not feeling worthy.
Family fights.
I got it in my mind
that I was better off
leaving the world behind.
Surely it would go on
without me.
5 attempts Later.
It took me to see.
The world had a lot
to offer me.
I began to live again.
What could have killed
me made me stronger.

Heather Brearley Poem
Betrayed by my lost love.
Who left us behind in the dust.
Met him a church a wolf in sheeps clothing.
My guidable heart fell for his tricky ways.
My heart is lost.
How can it be found.
Its distant and cold as a stone.
You left us to fend for ourselves,
you left us behind in the dust.
How can my heart be found.
Ten years have gone by since my daughter was born.
She filled my heart with Joy.
A sadness forever remained I never looked for love again.
I focus on life, my love for God. My heart has been healed
by past lost of love.
The dust has settled, I left him behind.
I found my purpose in my daughter of mine.
My heart is found.
My love abounds.
My soul spread its wings to heaven above.
With my God's mercy and love.

Heather Brearley Poem
Always moving forward.
Best to put one foot in front of the other.
Change is inevitable.
Don't stop moving forward.
Even in dark times
Filling your heart with hope helps.
Good intentions aren't enough actions count.
Happy thoughts fill your body with joy.
Into the unknown the brave will go.
Just because your feeling down, you don't fall down, or stay down.
Kindness to self is important.
Listen to your soul singing it is song of Joy.
Many will not see into your heart, yet many will.
Nothing is impossible.
Opt out of failure, keep going.
People can be shallow but also good.
Quit times help to heal
Restless times tell us to be moving.
Sitting in silence helps clear the mind.
Together we thrive by helping each other.
Understanding we are part of a whole.
Veins of the heart beat for each other.
With determination we step forward treading down that slippery slope.
x-ray vision would be great for seeing the truth in other people so we don't judge one another.
You succeed when you jump right in.
Zero tolerance for failure. Strive! Strive! Strive!

Heather Brearley Poem
As You are my light,
It shines brightly,
filling my soul.
You God, fill it with
love. You fill my heart
with wonder and
Awe.
You made me knowing
each hair on my head
as you know the stars
in the sky.
You knitted me together in my
mothers womb. Knowing
What I will do today as well as tomorrow.
You amaze me with your
insistent love for me.
A love that never ends.
Psalm 139
Truly a favorite verse.

Heather Brearley Poem
The Watcher
The watcher watches
from deep within
the forest as a I
walk down the trail.
He is silently treading along the
path above where I am.
My skin is on edge the feeling
of being watched raises the
hair on my arms and back of
my neck.
He dashes in front of my path,
reveling a beautiful grey wolf.
I realize this wolf has haunted
my dreams.
He beckons me to follow and I do.
I see he takes me deeper into the forest.
to a big giant oak which is his din.
His pups were within.
He showed me his
dedication to his family.
As he played whimsically
with the pups.
As a I walked away from the
den I realized one thing
remains.
Family. The importants of family.
That is what stuck in my heart.
There nothing can ever take
the place of family.
