My Life

A beautiful girl I once was,
Because of my actions I feel that no more
Cared for and loved are here but only sometimes
Decisions I've made I try not to regret
Excitements I've had, I'll always remember
Forgotten memories, the ones too bad to share
Gifts from the heart, I give but no one seems to care
Hands that I use, to hold my daughter each day
Infamiliar faces, all in this new place
Jumping up and down thinking of coming home
Kidding around, when I tell you my jokes
Laughter, the best sound, when it comes from Riley
My life, My dreams, My love, My heart
Never felt like this, like we may part
Opinions, of others who don't really know
People I deal with, and try not to show
Quiet, I sit, with no one around
Real or unreal, my life seems everyday
Scary to think how my life got this way
Talking, not sharing our real thoughts and fears
Used to share and talk, but not lately this year
Vague feelings, we share the least that we can
Woman, I am, sometimes I feel so damned
X marks the day, where I need to decide
You are the one, I want need to confide in
Zoom Zoom Zoom as my life passes by.

My Daughter

I see her smiling face
Every single day,
And wonder what I did
To be so lucky today.

She's just so amazing,
so beautiful, so true,
To know that I'm her mommy
makes everything so new.

I want to be her best friend,
her protector, and her ear,
to let her know I'll listen,
with anything she fears.

She'll always be my baby,
the one I'll always love,
I'll always be her mommy,
the title fits just like a glove.

I have so many hopes for her,
to be the happiest she can,
to let her know that she shouldn't change,
to gain the love of a man.

I'll always be watching over her,
no matter what she'll do,
She'll know she can always come to me,
And my love will always be true.

You Used

You used to say I was beautiful,
Every single day.
You used to say you loved me,
in every single way.
You used to say I was funny,
And really special, too.
You used to be my prince,
I thought my dreams would come true.

We had our gorgeous daughter,
her laughter fills my heart.
And now you say you love her,
and forget to say my part.
You say she's your special one,
and that she's funny,too.
You seem to have forgotten,
That I'm your love, so true.

I will always love you,
no matter what you say.
I will always love you,
every single day.
I guess that I'm just hoping,
one day we'll be the same.
One day we'll be back to normal,
And forget this ever changed.

I know that you still love me,
and I'll always be in your heart.
It would just be nice to hear,
that we will never part.
One day you'll say those things again,
About your love, your best friend.
I just hope that you will say it,
before your feelings end.
