My Daughter
I see her smiling face
Every single day,
And wonder what I did
To be so lucky today.
She's just so amazing,
so beautiful, so true,
To know that I'm her mommy
makes everything so new.
I want to be her best friend,
her protector, and her ear,
to let her know I'll listen,
with anything she fears.
She'll always be my baby,
the one I'll always love,
I'll always be her mommy,
the title fits just like a glove.
I have so many hopes for her,
to be the happiest she can,
to let her know that she shouldn't change,
to gain the love of a man.
I'll always be watching over her,
no matter what she'll do,
She'll know she can always come to me,
And my love will always be true.
