Drinkin' Beer With Imus In the Mornin'

Drinkin' Beer With "Imus in the Mornin'"
I'm drinkin' beer with "Imus in the Mornin'"
I must have crashed, I missed the Late Late Show.
This last nite's beer is warm and flat and nasty.
But I'll have Moma bring me one that's cold!

Ol' Mama covered me up with a blanket.
My Lazy Boy's as far back as it goes.
And I can see a fat roach in the ashtray.
It's sittin' right beside my Oreos!

I'm drinkin' beer with "Imus in the Mornin'".
I'm just about as happy as could be.
Except ol' Moma hasn't started breakfast,
My teeth are fuzzy, and I gotta' pee!

Ol' Moma works the lunch shift at McDonald's.
She's sixty-eight, but Moma's very spry.
Now, Moma doesn't hustle shakes and burgers.
My Moma hustles old McDonald guys!

The old guys knew my Moma back in grade school!
They gave her their lunch money, even then.
For five cents you could see young moma's rosebuds!
Or get a peek at "Neverland" for ten!

And if some lucky kid could raise a dollar.
Ol' Moma pulled her magic sleight of hand.
She'd roll her sleeveup, reach down in his britches,
and turn that little jerk into a man!

I'm drinkin' beer with "Imus in the mornin'".
We're wealthy so I never do a thing!
'Cause after Moma comes home for martini's,
She's off to meet the boys at Burger King!

I'm drinkin' beer with "Imus in the Mornin'".
I wish ol' Moma'd make my lunch at noon.
So maybe I'll let Moma quit her day job,
'Cause there's an all nite Wendy's comin' soon!

My Bird

My Bird
A bird of sadness hovers
Mostly circles
Sometimes lands

It's always been there
It's my bird
Or maybe, I'm it's man

I know I'll never lose it
It's my fate
I understand

Sad destiny is painful
if you're smart enough
I am

It's arrogance to think,
I think
that this is only mine

But sad to think of others,
with their buzzards
marking time

If wishes could be horses,
then the beggers
all could ride

If I could just be someone else,
I couldn't be
I tried.
